Erick has worked many years as an artist and his multidisciplinary work has been shown nationally and internationally with pieces (ranging from painting to video art) sold to collectors throughout North America. He has also put together curatorial projects (mostly focusing on video art) that have been exhibited both in New York and Austin. As a researcher/educator he spent time working for well-known artists William Wegman and Michael Smith aiding in the production and installation of their art as well as teaching classes in video art at the University of Texas at Austin. Erick received a B.F.A. from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and an M.F.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. He also attended the prestigious Skowhegan School of Sculpture and Painting in Skowhegan, Maine.
For the last 10 years Erick has been making illustrations, graphic design, and videos for a computer software company in Austin. He has also been the designer for the SciPy conference creating all the assets used for the conference as well as designing the yearly thematic logo.
